Palo Alto Auth Key Exceeds 80 Characters

I ran into an interesting feature this week while provisioning 4 PA-440's.

The Panorama generated auth key was over 80 characters long and the PA-440's would generate an error from both the CLI and the GUI when attempting to add the auth key.

Panorama was running 10.1.3 and the PA-440's were running 10.1.0.

Upgrading the PA-440's to 10.1.3 allowed me to add the auth key via the CLI, although the GUI still generated the error.

Admin> request authkey set <auth key>

This may be fixed in 10.1.4!
